BIM
BIM: Better, Faster, Cheaper
What is Building Information Modeling (BIM)?
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the cutting edge method of generating and managing project designs and construction using dynamic 3D computer models which update 2D and 3D plans (and associated construction databases and documents including material inventories, etc.) in real time.
BIM can be used to demonstrate and budget for the entire building life cycle from design to construction to maintenance, zeroing in on the tiniest building elements or stepping back to view and understand the entire project (geometries, spatial relationships, geographic information, light analyses and quantities and properties of building materials).
BIM relies on specialized software, but BIM is much more than software—it is a process and approach to architectural design and project construction that makes projects better, faster and cheaper. Applicable to all projects, large or small, BIM capacities—though widely acknowledged as the future of architecture and construction—remain relatively rare among architectural practices.
Why is BIM important to you?
BIM involves tight integration and coordination among architects, engineers, builders and clients to scope projects more accurately and complete construction more quickly—and less expensively—than possible without BIM processes and technologies. Projects designed from the start with BIM are visualized more comprehensively, completed more quickly, and achieved at lower cost than projects without BIM.
What are Rindala Design’s BIM capabilities?
Rindala Design possesses deep BIM experience and all Rindala Design projects are designed in leading-edge Revit Architecture software (the BIM-friendly successor to the former standard, AutoCAD) from day one, expediting project completion at the lowest possible cost.
